KXSP Relaunches BigSports590.com

Sports talk radio station KXSP (590 AM) re-launched its "Big Sports 590" website this week, promising even more changes in the coming weeks.

The new site features links to podcasts, profiles of its two local sports talk show hosts, Travis Justice and Matt Perrault, as well as and a game schedule for the Kansas City Royals baseball team.

The site's once-popular forum is still being developed, Perrault said.

Man you're fast! The forum is ready, and will be live tomorrow. The game schedule will feature a lot of other teams, we just got it started today. We'll also have more stuff very soon. I just wanted to launch it because I've been sitting on it for a week or two.

It is true when you click on Trav's profile link there is an extended, pregnated pause before it pops up.

Apparently, the webmaster wanted to give the surfer the same experience as when you listen to him on his show.

The forum is the only thing worth checking out on that website...navigated the new one the other day and it's even clunkier than the old one. Whatever Journal is paying their new webmaster...they're paying too much.

Barely beat you? Did you look at the ratings Matt? You drew a 1.1 rating while the Zone drew a 1.9! Wow. Yeah, they barely beat you. C'mon Matthew admit it or post the head to head numbers. I dare you!

Matt, trying to make yourself more marketable for your next job after you get the box? Practicing up on interview skills?

So, now you have "The Hardee's hot seat?" Ummm...can you copy anymore from Sportscenter with the "Budweiser Hot Seat?" First you parrot Rome and now you are trying to rip off ESPN? Wow, you are original.

Matt and Travis:

You're both doing a great job. Keep telling it like it is. Your audience is growing.

Yes, they are really growing. Their numbers were less than the last ratings book. They went from a 1.7 to 1.1. Yup, big improvement.

I agree with poster 1:25. Travis and Matt are perhaps the best sports radio people we have in the Big O. Keep up the good work guys!!! It won't be long before everyone gets on board!

anonymous 2:42...that might be the funniest thing I've read on this blog's comments area -- and considering some of the mental hiccups that post here, that is SAYING something...

What happend to Matt's posts on here...errrr....I mean anonymous guy telling us about his ratings. They were here yesterday and gone today? Matt, were you told by your bosses to knock it off or is it because you couldn't back it up?

Where's the Mavs logo on the front page of Big Sports 590's web site?

I see the Chiefs, Huskers, Jays, and Royals ... and I've heard Matt talk about Mav football and hockey, so I know he knows it exists ...

Well, that explains why his ratings are what they are (and why I listen to ESPN Radio)....

If I post on here - I sign it. Unlike some people. The deleted posts were not mine.

Matt, you have a great show and I like to call up and argue and to have a discent conversation. I turned the dial the other day to here"Ruffis" or "Gary "chime in on how much he hates the Huskers. Just to let you know I am exstremely happy that you kickicked him off the show and for shutting up an IDIOT!!!
Keep up the good work and great interviews.

I love people who rip on others under the "anonymous" sign. Pretty brave people out there! I guarantee they are the same people that would go up to any local celeb, shake their hand and tell them they love their work.

Message board nerds rule!
