Tracy Madden Expecting in Late June or Early July

Tracy Madden Baby Shower, Courtesy of WOWTWOWT (Cox Channel 8) viewers who wondered whether anchor Tracy Madden was pregnant again got their answer Thursday night.

Madden confirmed what many had suspected (judging by inquiries to Media Watch) during a story on a community baby shower to benefit the parenting programs of Lutheran Family Services and the Visiting Nurse Association.

Though she did not reveal when she is due, her husband, former KETV (Cox Channel 9) sports anchor Sean McMahon, told the City Weekly earlier this week that they are expecting the new addition in late June or early July. The two already have a pair of twin sons, Ryan and Quinn.

How convenient.

Channel Six waits until she's in her final trimester to "announce" she's pregnant, then uses the sweeps month (the drive ends the day after it's over) to do an event.

Shameless self promotion. I guess the days of stations doing anything to boost ratings are still going strong right here in the Big O.

Quinn and Ryan. Ugh! What's next Madison or Brooklyn?

How about Webbs, Chaps or Rossie?

Wouldn't a pair of twins be four children?

Hey 9:26! What do you care what people name their children!? How would you like it if somebody made fun of your child's name? Grow Up!

Congrats to them.

Tracy pregnant?

No, really?!?!

Boy, I guess I was wrong when I watched her over these past several weeks present her Health Watch segment (which is usually presented standing up). Heck, I thought it was beer gut in time for May sweeps.

Yeah, John Knicely was really sharp in the announcement. He make a comment about the baby shower story and something to the effect "and someone else that is expecting" as he jerked his head in Tracy's direction. The guy could have taken a better approach to the announcing it.

One suggestion Tracy, please don't post a diary on the website.

Congrats to Tracy & Sean.

I have to agree with 6:59 on both counts.

DId Channel Sux really think we were dumb enough not to notice Tracy was pooching out?

And how pathetic was it that they held out to tie it into a promotion. Lame.

At least there's hope that we will see her husband in the Christmas promos this year. It's awful tough being a single mom with twins and a newborn.

The announcement was several months ago.

Well, if Sean wasn't watching, then I'm guessing NO ONE was watching the Channel Sucks Slackers.

About two months ago, Tracy said she was pregnant on air during a segment Sheila Brummer did on women changing their hairstyles. She's mentioned it causually at least four or five times since then. If you don't regularly watch the 6 news like I do, then I guess this is "Breaking News", but she mentioned it at least back in February. I don't see how 6 held it for "sweeps" when she's been talking about it for at least two months!

Speaking of being prego. Where has Suzanne Deyo been? It seems like over the past month she has been gone more times than Pat Persaud before her exit from Channel Six. They are putting Farrah Fazal in the driver's seat which is just plain scary.

Suzanne is going part time to spend more time at home with her family. I think it's great that a station would let her go to part-time and not drop her completely.

My bulbous belly is bigger than hers.

Had to work at it, though, and it took a couple decades.

Will likely beat the Becka Belly soon.

Laugh ye addled lithe limber ones; when the famine hits my belly and I will roll with glee as ye fades away.

Boring troll alert!

Now there's an image I didn't need.

Geez... what do you people want Channel 6 to do? Snipe, snipe! I think you're just jealous that hot studly Sean isn't getting you pregnant.
