Another Week, Another Loss For The Big Red

Even the anchors have given up wearing red on Nebraska football game days...

What's the best segment of Husker analysis? If you haven't seen it, tune in Sunday night for Dr. Rob Zatechka's chalk talk of the Huskers' weekly breakdown. It's part of "Sports Soundoff presented by Horseshoe Casino" on KMTV, Sunday nights at 10:35.

Way to go Chaps!

ESPN, in a totally classy move (sic), ran the football score for Robert Morris, one of the most prestigous and oldest academic institutions in the country...and listed it as "Bob" Morris. How quaint.

This advertisement is brought to you by KM3rd.

Make you a deal, pull the annoying goatee off the "Ameristar/Bluffs Run" sports show AND lose 90% of the "cutesy" references to said gambling sponsor and I MIGHT give it a try. Otherwise, I'll take Rossey and his non-sponsor hyped show each week........

Wow. A station actually gave more time to UNO, a team that is undefeated than to a team that is hyped as making progress when it gives up only 36 points instead of 40?

Seriously, some of this over-done Husker coverage is becoming embarrassing. The KETV website goes to some sort of full Big Red mode on Saturdays (most of the site all red with big "N"s on it). Which I could understand if we were talking about a team that wasn't 4-4 and looks silly week in and week out.

Dingbat:

Shouldn't that be "Wow-T... A station..."

How long before the other stations and the OWH get a clue and start giving the Mavs some front-page, top o' the newscast coverage?

Let the Huskers hang out in the "other sports" after the break in the newscast or on the middle pages of the OWH while they rebuild.

We can only take so much depressing "They lost again" coverage. Give us (and the Huskers) a break!!!

Well, at least one anchor was still wearing red ... Farrah Fazal.

@ 9:03 PM ... your definition of "anchor" is pretty loose, then. ;-p

But isn't Farah really eveyones?

That's MS Fazol to you minions......

Dr. Rob wasn't on last night. Hence, Trav and Clester Johnson got to wax poetic.

Chaps PLAYED against the Mavs when he was starring at Morningside.

I can see Chaps, now in his younger years...his cute little....chaps...squeezed into that uniform. Hmmm. Delicious.

I love telling people "i go to the university with the undefeated football team..." Go Mavs!

Yes, UNO is undefeated. Yes, yes, yes. But nobody gives a crap. 8,000 people at the game was huge for them? Yikes. That's worth changing your coverage entirely. The people who care about UNO went there, or have kids there. That's pretty much it.

Unfortunately, everybody cares about Nebraska.

Granted, people might not care as much about UNO. But do the folks at KETV really expect us to care enough about a 4-4 team (about to go 4-5) enough to sit through an entire hour of post-game analysis?

Apparently they do...Because that's what they're planning on Saturday. I wonder if its too late to order those "Dean Martin Celebrity Roast" DVDs that I saw on TV

maybe if they win...
