That is some lame blog software, guess I won't be joining it. Good luck!

No RSS feed on the new page? WTF?!

Anonymous said...

Nice move guys. Not.

Hey..since it hasn't been posted...did anyone notice that 101.9 The Big O is starting to call itself "Omaha's Classic Pop Music".

Hey...
What happened to O Newscope / SplashFart?

Anonymous said...

Praise Marty Moose!

Anonymous said...

Hey...since it hasn't been posted...did everyone hear that Abraham Lincoln was elected 16th President of the United States a few years back?

Anonymous said...

You still call this a blog?

Anonymous said...

RSS or Atom! Please.

Unknown said...

Please don't switch until your new site has RSS.

Anonymous said...

Wow, that new site is worse than an Affirmative Action News Third broadcast around 10:20 p.m.

"stay in touch with the latest news from the local print, broadcast and internet communication channels"

So, in other words, you guys have created a new website so you can update it with new post every other new lunar cycle?

On another note - OWH buys other papers? Well, I guess that is one way for them to claim Mike Kelly is a syndicated columnist.

Anonymous said...

Mike Kelly. God, what a joke.

No one has done more to make Omaha look pathetic.

Kelly writes about four different stories:
--his daughter's rape (laudable the first few times he wrote about it, but overkill the next dozen or two),
--people who have coincidental names, birthdays, ages, or hometowns
--tributes to people who die or have some awful illness, and
--gleeful retellings of flattering things visitors have said or written about Omaha.

That last are probably the most painful to read; he makes the whole city look like a pathetic kid who's desperate to be liked. The more he writes about how "big-time' Omaha's getting, the more he makes us look like a bunch of backwater clowns.

Anonymous said...

Oh...I forgot the "Nebraska's/Omaha's Own" story...the desperate (and often stretched) attempt to connect Omaha to any phenomenon or event that is even marginally successful on a national level.

Hey, since it hasn't been posted...Tom Park here with your Labor Day special. IF, and only if you're going into labor, I'll be there to help pull your baby out, after you sign papers to buy a new car.

Anonymous said...

Hey Tom, are you at H&H right now? I had some questions about a new car and wanted to call and personally talk to you. Unless, of course, you're busy delivering a baby.

Anonymous said...

RSS or ATOM is a REALLY good idea....like for all the blogs at City Weekly.

;)

Anonymous said...

Yeah, even the blogs with completely blank, gray screens.

Anonymous said...

Uhm, why whatever do you mean ? You must have clicked it wrong ? Hahahaha

No, I fixed it because I spelled "little" wrong because I'm so smart

Anonymous said...

Howdy folks, Tom Park back here again.

Uggh, just delivered my third little mongaloid..em I mean baby. Lots of cars going fast here today. Labor day special ends tonight at 9. I'll be here so call me up!

Anonymous said...

Yes, RSS or Atom on the new blog site please!

Anonymous said...

Splashfart still posts, but must be keeping a low profile. I found it: http://splashfart1.blogspot.com/

Not so impressive, and no posts. Can you spell L-O-S-E-R?

Unknown said...

won't be long before she accidentally deletes it again.

Anonymous said...

Anybody heard yet how many local Emmy's Travis has been nominated for this year?

Anonymous said...

Hey 10:33, how'd you "find" that "new" blog? Wait, I bet I know, you created it.

Anonymous said...

lankbadly,

looks like she's already gone once again. Next time, she should just call it FICKLE or SCHIZO.

Anonymous said...

Does Travis have a blog?

Unknown said...

We should see a splashfart2 appear soon, see her promote it as a sock puppet, and then watch it get accidentally deleted again.

Trav doesn't have a blog, but there's a travisjustice.com domain taken already.

Anonymous said...

Not sure the new blog is forward progress...

And where's the article about Friday being Andrea Bredow's last day?

I'll certainly miss Miss Andrea in the mornings, but I wish her the best in the next chapter in her life!

Anonymous said...

since it hasn't been posted yet, did anyone hear on Thursday how low Todd and Tyler stooped. A caller called in about Sarah Palin's acceptance speech, then the caller said something about "then they showed the little retarded baby". Todd and Tyler thought that was hilarious and went to to laugh hysterically at the comment for several seconds. How HATEFUL are Todd and Tyler????

Anonymous said...

That's why they'll never get out of the Springfield market.

Anonymous said...

Welcome back and good morning - where the hell is Bredow?

Anonymous said...

Relax people, she's a weather guesser/reader. This isn't the Kennedy assassination or the kidnapping of Lindbergh's baby.

The most disconcerting thing is that Travis may be leaving Omaha for Bristol. Any truth to those rumors?

Unknown said...

"The most disconcerting thing is that Travis may be leaving Omaha for Bristol. Any truth to those rumors?"

I doubt it, bt I'm sure the next splashfart blog will have 4 entries about it though.

Anonymous said...

Since it hasn't been posted, I'm relaxed. In fact, I just dropped off a big, back-cracking "tom park". Now that I'm relaxed...where did Andrea go? What is she doing now??!?!?!

Anonymous said...

hey Hey bredowfiles -- I didn't know Sonic was opening a store in Bristol. That's as close to the studios of ESPN as Travis will ever get.

Anonymous said...

Andrea is taking a job with Creighton Medical. It was an opportunity she could not refuse and is something entirely different than what she is used to.

Anonymous said...

SOOOOOOOOOOOO r we going to get anything worth reading guys?????

Anonymous said...

@ 4:12 PM...Why start now?

Anonymous said...

*knock knock* anyone home?

Anonymous said...

Did you see what those punks did to my team?

Did you see KC cheat and take out my quarterback?

How dare they! I shall strike them down with great vengenance and furious anger and they will know that my name is

The Perrault

Anonymous said...

I don't know, those Bristol rumors have been getting stronger. Guess it might be a combination of TV and radio.

Anonymous said...

So move already!

Anonymous said...

6:07 -- Bristol TENNESSEE, maybe...

Anonymous said...

Yeah, a guy who got a radio show cancelled in Omaha, Nebraska is going to work for ESPN. Please.

Anonymous said...

I'm telling you, the buzz keeps getting stronger. They really liked the commentary segments he did a few years back.

Of course it's not Tennessee, it's Connecticut. Did you have to go to your atlas to try and come up with a funny?

Anonymous said...

http://i36.tinypic.com/4kfsc6.jpg

Anonymous said...

Yeah, they liked the commentary so much that Channel Third cancelled that segment and forever retired the rolled up piece of paper. C'mon, pull this leg and it plays jingle bells.

The only way he gets on ESPN is if the camera pans on the media buffet at Memorial Stadium during a football game.

Anonymous said...

I don't know about buffets (except Warren and Jimmy), but these folks were serious. Since the grape diet weight isn't an issue that concerns them anymore. His fallback is being Francesa's new partner in New York since the Mad Dog wisely went to satellite.

Anonymous said...

What ever happened to that SplashFart blog?

Anonymous said...

It went the way of Brummerphiles and Bredowphiles - never to be heard from again.

Anonymous said...

Probably soon to be the fate of this blog as well. Has anybody actually registered on the new site?

Anonymous said...

>> Has anybody actually registered on the new site?

Why would anyone do that? There's nothing new posted to comment on.

And there aren't any comments on the old posts to speak of, other than the proclamation of a certain sportscaster's sexual orientation.

It sucks that on the new blog you can't see how many comments there are from the main page. It's too much work to open each blog entry to see if there are any new comments.

Yawn...

Anonymous said...

Travis to Bristol? Wow, didn't see that one coming. I thought he was about as relevant these days as Rosie O'Donnell. Well, maybe he'll shake things up at the worldwide leader in sports. Good luck, Trav.

Anonymous said...

How many "Old Country Buffets" are there in Bristol ???

Anonymous said...

That's too low-brow for Trav now that he'll be making serious coin - time to move up to Steak Buffet USA!

Anonymous said...

you don't have to register anymore on the city weakly site

Anonymous said...

hey don't rip on Old Country Buffet and USA Steak Buffet...they effin' rock
