Two New Posts at OmahaCityWeekly.com

Two new ones have been posted on the Media Watch blog!

34 comments:

  1. Matt Perrault is Gay.

  2. Post them here then. That website blows.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Before migrating to that website you need RSS on it.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Why not just post them here rather than on the site that nobody here seems to like.

Also, both of the "new" posts are old news.

  5. 12:58 nailed it. That site blows, this one rules. Only thing going on over there is Bredowphiles printing that picture or making it their screensaver.

  6. anything to try to increase eyeballs for ad revenue, I guess

  7. Is it the City Weekly newspaper that you guys hate? Or the Web site? Or both? So what is it about the City Weekly Web site that sucks? We're working on making the blog part better, and we're making so you can post anonymously without registering.

  8. It's the lack of blog features on the City Weekly site that suck. It definitely need RSS and/or Atom feeds for starters.

  9. A blog without RSS is like a woman without a va-jay-jay.

  10. Since I cant comment on the new site:

#1 The Ben Gray story was announced weeks ago. Thanks.

Looking forward to your post on Hurrican Ike next month.

#2 People who think Bredow is a hottie are nuts. Either that, or thats a horrible photo.

  11. Jim,

Thanks for the blog but I think why people have stopped "blogging" over there is the registration feature.

You have to admit, we are snippy here but sometimes it is pretty dang funny.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Agreed. Who wants to put their Justicerules e-mail address in there when praising Travis?

By the way, sounds like that ESPN announcement will be coming next week. Smart money is still on a radio/TV combo.

  13. First of all, Jim, thanks for actually soliciting feedback. Personally, the registering feature is a bit annoying. I agree that if you had 2-stepped the transition, it would have been easier. Being the internet, people seem to get jaded when you change what they are used to AND suddenly ask them to give over semi-personal information.

Regarding the paper, I am a right-leaning person (big shocker in Nebraska) and recognize that your paper leans the other way. That said, even though I don't go out of my way to get the paper, when I see it, I will grab and read it.

  14. Where is Andrea Bredow I havent seen her on Ketv latley. Does anyone know what happend to her

  15. 5: 13, Without a vajayjay or with a numb one ? Just askin'

    ReplyDelete
  16. See, now the ones from 6:04 are what make this site a hoot! That must drive the Bredowphiles even more whack.

Does anyone think that really was Minge who left that note? Wouldn't he sign in with an account instead of going anonymous like the rest of us trolls?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thank you for your responses. Our Web guy is supposed to remove the registering aspect of the blogs asap, hopefully today. I also asked him about getting the RSS feed.

Also, I apologize for the lack of posts in recent months. Putting the newspaper together takes up a lot of my time and I don’t always have the extra time to devote to the Media Watch blog. Sean Weide is traveling quite a bit these days with the Olympic cycling team he works for, so he’s sort of out of the loop.

I’ll try to get fresher posts and do a better job of staying on top of the local media news, and I’d really appreciate any anonymous tips, story ideas, suggestions, etc., that you’d like to send me (editor@omahacityweekly.com).

Thanks for being patient, and thanks for checking out our blog.

  18. Jim, You spend a year using blogspot as your blog, then you say you're shutting it down, then you open it back up for a couple months, then you move it to a lamer version, with less features.

You're right, what's not to like?

Send "The Perrault" back to bama, it probably really IS him, or give him his own blog (the *FAKE* Matt Perrault), he's getting old. Ban the word Splashfart, and "The mighty horse" should be stabled.

  19. HELL NO - WE WON'T GO!
HELL NO - WE WON'T GO!

  20. I am aged to perfection.

    Sincerely,

    The Perrault

  21. Note to whoever is going on with the Travis Justice to ESPN crap. He's confirmed it isn't true.

    ReplyDelete
  22. lankbadly: did you really need to post that? Did anyone actually think he was qualified to go to ESPN? Hell, we are shocked he made it all the way up to Action 3third news. KPTM seems about the right level for home. Of course, since he has left, it looks like it is only a matter of time before Action Third becomes Action Fourth. Coincidence????

    ReplyDelete
  23. I hear that KHAS in Hastings is nice place to work. KODY in North Platte is lovely this time of year. Trav should be very happy there.

As far as ESPN goes? Yeah, right.

    ReplyDelete
  24. you don't have to register anymore to post comments on the city wEAkly Web site anymore....fyi..

    ReplyDelete
  25. Good news. Anything new on Travis, when did he deny this?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Travis won't deny it - he's the one posting the false info about ESPN on here.

I know because Travis told me. He also told me that he's working hard with my contacts inside JBG to get Perrault off Baggy Shorts 590 as well and he will be host by himself. Should be happening in a month or so, according to Travis.

Perrault's days in Omaha are numbered, and that number isn't a high one. I will see to it he finds work elsewhere -- Runza on Q Street has a position best suited for him, and they just got a new mop in for him to break in.

    Sincerely,

    DA TROOF

  27. Travmania will sweep the nation! Watch out Erin Andrews - sideline reporter! With his looks and his low cut shorts, he will knock Erin down to the 1AA games!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Easy there 3:36 -- need to cut back on the crack before you post in the future. Rehab, baby...rehab.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "lankbadly: did you really need to post that? Did anyone actually think he was qualified to go to ESPN?"

Well, somebody was splash farting it all over the place just to stir up an imagination, so I wanted to sqelch it before splashfart2 came about.

Like Trav, or hate him, he answers his emails.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Another reason why Travis rules! It's still just a matter of time before he moves on to bigger and better things.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Like what...head sandwich maker at Jimmy John's? That's certainly a step above Action News Third.

    ReplyDelete
  32. First, he'll have to chop lettuce. Then, he'll be on fries and that is where the big money comes in.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think head taco wrapper at Taco Hell is more like it for Travis.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Where is Andrea Bredow I havent seen her on Ketv latley. Does anyone know what happend to her
