  1. General rule of thumb:

If John Campbell is predicting a light dusting...Count on not going to school the next day.

If John Campbell is predicting heavy snow fall...You'll be able to put up Christmas lights on your house tomorrow without wearing a coat.

  2. In Nebraska, snow is like sex; you never know how much you're going to get, or how long it will last!

  3. Not necessarily true. I've had more than one relationship where I knew very well that it wasn't going to be a White Christmas.

  4. 935AM aka Channel 6 -

So, what you're saying is, he's consistent?

  5. Sorry, anonymous #4, not Channel 6. We concentrate on doing our own work & really don't check out the "other guys" on a regular basis.
If you want the latest on Saturday's storm, check out our blog at http://www.wowt.com/blogs/weather
it's a bit more detailed than the snap of the extended outlook!

  6. Believe it or not, there are people who read this blog who work in fields completely unrelated to the media. I'm one of them. Just because somebody criticizes your station, you must not automatically assume, "Oh that's just our competition talking...Trying to make us look bad. Pay no attention"

  7. I Blame Scott Voorhees.....wait, what?

    ah...nevermind.

  8. Jeff Jensen:

LOL. You guys really do have a sense of humor. That has to be about the funniest post I've read in a long time. That was great! And I do know one thing; it is going to be cold.

  9. Off topic, I know, but I'm currently laughing at the fact that the blog post about the Omaha Juice MySpace page has been removed. Tsk, tsk.

  10. I haven't watched WOWT in a while...has the voice coach helped Jensen lower his pitch to something, uh, a bit more masculine these days?

Nothing better than sounding like you just took a good shot to the boys. :-p

  11. You know, if you're gonna slam these guys. At least come up with some new material. The high pitch thing has been done to death.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Besides...slam them for content, not personal items. That's just classless.

  13. Hey Jeff, If you catch this the Jays play on Thursday, Not Wednesday....Might want to update the graphic.

  18. That latest "juice" posting was pretty good Ill have to admit. She outed Tommie Frazier for trying pretty hard to pick her up at the bar the other night! Wonder if thats one of the reasons why you dont hear Tommie Frazier's name mentioned for coach of Nebraska? That "juice" blog called James Martin Davis a few choice words so maybe he applied some pressure on the owners of this web site? Any thoughts or questions or concerns?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Tommie Frazier couldn't get it done with Doane college...you really think he could handle the University of Nebraska? C'mon now...

@1:28 and 1:37 PM...if the closed captioning would get stuff typed out right, I'd just mute the TV when I watched.

And by the way, who needs new material when the old stuff still applies? :-p

  22. I am predicting that we have a 50% chance of getting anywhere between a trace and 8 inches of snow this weekend.

And I don't even have the American AMS Society, or whatever its called, after my name.

  23. Ok, 8:06pm, you started it! The snow prediction contest is on!!

I predict a 70% cance of getting anywhere between a trace and 12 inches of snow this weekend, followed by a sprinking of freezing rain to make it all sparkle!

  24. As Clara Peller would say....

"Where's the JUICE?" "Where's the JUICE?"

    ReplyDelete
  25. And the Juice mentions McPike's addiction to gambling and booze, while totally missing the gay porn habbit...come on lady!!

  26. "Tonights forecast; Dark! Continued mostly dark tonight, changing to widely scattered light in the morning.!"

    ala George Carlin
    AM & FM

    Too funny!!

    ReplyDelete
  27. That reminds me of something else George Carlin talked about.

About how they always tell us what the temperature is at the airport. Who gives a damn? Nobody lives at the airport.
